Finally signed up for the gym...

The Diabetes Clinic in town has a free fitness center. Anyone can go, you don't have to be a diabetic to go. To use it all you have to do is go and sign some papers. For the past six months, I kept saying that I was going to go sign up for it. I haven't. Today, I had Kennedy's IEP meeting which only lasted fifteen minutes. When it ended, I decided to go sign up for the gym. It's small, which I had expected but I was really impressed with the equipment that they had. They even have showers, so I can shower there. Even though I am not a diabetic or enrolled in the tribe I can still use all the services that they offer, like getting my body fat, blood sugars tested, blood pressure and body measurements. I am super excited because I started a food and fitness diary so I can keep track of all it. They open at six, so I set my clock for ten to six to get up and go tomorrow. I will probably just start walking tomorrow and next week start the heavy duty fitness stuff!

Another blog...

I decided to start a new blog here...I don't really care if anyone reads it or follows it. This is for me. My new year's resolution was to make big changes in my life for the better. Yes, I know it is almost the end of Feb. but I have kept true to my resolution. I went for a yearly physical at the begining of Jan. I want to be healthy and happy.

I am stating that. I went for a sleep study two weeks ago. I found out I have severe obstructive sleep apnea. This is the reason I am so tired and need to nap all the time. Last night I slept with my CPap machine and I got the best nights sleep ever!!!!! I woke up at 6:30 AM feeling relaxed and refreshed. Steve even slept better because he didn't have to listen to me snore all night or gasping for air.

I have been fat my whole life. I have suffered with from eating disorders also. I am 34 years old. I need to do something about this. I need to be around for my kids. I am five feet two inches tall and weigh 243!!! I decided to go for gastric bypass surgery. This is yet another life style change but I feel that I am ready for this. I need this. I went to the required classes met with all the doctors. I meet the requirements. I passed the pysch eval. Which was one of the most stressful days of my life, not just because of that but because of drama at home which I had to leave Steve to deal with. I passed that. Now I am just waiting on my insurance company to approve me.

Today I researched on the internet and found templates. Templates for a food diary and also a fitness program I can follow. My goal for next week is to start going to The Diabetes clinic gym at six every morning. I am going there tomorrow to sign up.

I am excited about this chapter of my life.
